Haven't played since 2005...
G'day fellas,
Haven't played Guild Wars since 2005 when I maxed my 20 W/Mo. Not sure what the hell I'm doing, haha... original Prophecies player, apparently there's three expansions to the game now? Basically just curious as to where I should go back to in terms of learning the game all over again heh. Also, I'm currently very short on gold. Believe I have 3plat 300gold in my bank. However I've got 2x 1st year, 3x 2nd year and 3x 3rd year unopened birthday presents in my inventory, as well as an undedicated miniature prince rurik. Are these worth anything? Here's some pics of my char. Is this armor obsolete now or still pretty decent? cheers! |

Hey. Assuming what minis you get from those presents, you could have quite abit of cash there, or even try to sell them unopened..
Also, your shield is worth quit a few bob if I'm not mistaken. No your armour isn't 'out of date', however, the wammo trend kinda' faded out :P |

What's wrong with the skill bar too? Just pretty general noobs skills or what? Not sure about the presents. Should I leave them unopened and sell or try my luck opening them? The shield is a pretty plain white Magmas Shield, 16armor 9str req. |

Proly a screen where he stands in his guildhall. As for the armor it is decent, the skillbar is no good at all nowadays.

Thats not Elona. Its an Elona style guild hall....isle of solitude.
P.S. im going to take a stab(no pun intended) and say he could have been farming ettins before he stopped playing. Last edited by REDdelver; Apr 29, 2009 at 03:54 PM // 15:54.. |

@ DetreS, it's his Guild Hall.
@ OP, the armor isn't perfect, but it's still pretty good. what you should worry about is your shield, you should upgrade it. Go to pvxwiki.com to check ALL the great builds, most favorite weapon mods and even armor insignias (The armors are now blank when you buy them and you can upgrade them with whatever you like, as long as it's compatible to your profession). |

It looks more like a guild hall to me. Anyway, if I were you I'd get the expansions and EOTN. Then I'd reroll one in each expansion(not EOTN) and try out the new professions. It's pretty easy to make cash in Factions and Nightfall. Also, you get heroes in Nightfall. (intelligent sort of henchies) that you can set the skills for. Good luck |

Looks like you're about to add at least 1 4th year present as well ... 47 months played
A quick price check says an unded Prince Rurik is going for 20-40k, decent amount of cash to restart with. I didn't find any recent prices for unopened presents although a post from Oct suggests the following: 1st = 10-15k 2nd = 20-25k 3rd = 35kish With 4th year presents out I would think these would be slightly lower. |

Welcome back. And you know what, who cares if your armor isn't the leetest as long as you have fun! Tear open those presents and sell the minis, plenty of cash. And again, welcome back!

The first and second year presents I would sell unopened. Most of those minis are fairly cheap now and I think you'd actually get more for the unopened present. Of course you could always get lucky and get a mini gwen or mini bone dragon.
Actually I would probably sell them all unopened. At least with my luck, you'd get all whites.

Get your extra storage while you still can before it's gone (aka end of this month), and the 3 other games if you want to be the most competitive (only one counts as an expansion though). Nightfall I like the best, haven't played EOTN yet.

It is accessible once any character on your account has beaten a specific campaign... and so that campaign has hm unlocked for any other characters as long as they are level 20. You select it in any outpost within a campaign that you have access to hm on (there will be two small buttons, one for normal and one for hard mode above the party screen). |

Hard Mode is available for every level 20 character on your account once one of your characters beats the campaign (HM will only be unlocked for that campaign, not all of them). It basically just gives all the monsters updated skillbars, a bunch of extra levels and some random buffs. It's an option you can change anytime you like.
